Instruction Designed for Student Success

Apex Learning students learn by doing, as opposed to replicating the classroom model with videos of teachers presenting course content as they would in a classroom. Through ongoing interaction with course content, students stay engaged, build critical thinking skills, and deepen understanding.

General Studies Courses

General studies courses meet the needs of a range of students — from those not prepared for grade-level academic challenges to those capable of accelerating their learning — as they endeavor to master rigorous content and earn credits toward graduation. Courses assume readiness for grade-level academic challenges, and also include targeted scaffolding for students who require additional learning support to successfully complete their courses.

Advanced Placement® Courses

Authorized by the College Board®, Apex Learning AP® courses meet higher-education expectations of college-level courses and prepare students to demonstrate achievement through success on the AP exams. Courses target highly motivated students who are reading at grade level or above and who have a track record of success in high school coursework.

Foundations Courses

Foundations courses provide structured remediation in math, science, reading, and writing. Courses offer structured remediation of skills and concepts needed to undertake high school level courses with confidence.
